Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with checking out, returning, and locating library materials
- Provide excellent customer service and answer reference questions
- Help maintain the library collection through shelving, weeding, and processing new materials
- Support library programs and events for children, teens, and adults
- Operate library technology, including computers, printers, and the integrated library system
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as answering phones and processing fines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or college coursework preferred
- Previous experience in a library or customer service role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with library software
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
