Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise dogs in groups (1-5 dogs) across Nashville's scenic parks and neighborhoods
- Administer medications and provide specialized care for pets with unique needs
- Maintain detailed digital records of pet behavior, health updates, and service logs
- Transport pets to/from veterinary appointments and grooming services
- Implement positive reinforcement training techniques during walks and interactions
- Respond proactively to emergencies and communicate effectively with pet owners
- Collaborate with team members to optimize scheduling and service quality
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional dog handling or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable vehicle
- Certification in Pet First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional knowledge of dog behavior, breeds, and handling techniques
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and tech proficiency for digital reporting
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Local Nashville residency preferred for timely service delivery
