Responsibilities
- Master complex brewing techniques including espresso extraction, pour-overs, and latte art
- Train and mentor junior baristas on coffee excellence and customer service standards
- Develop seasonal menu innovations using premium local ingredients
- Manage inventory control and quality assurance protocols
- Foster community engagement through coffee tastings and workshops
- Optimize workflow efficiency during peak service hours
- Collaborate with roasters on quality control and bean selection
Qualifications
- 3+ years professional barista experience with specialty coffee expertise
- Latte art certification or demonstrable advanced skills
- Proven leadership experience in fast-paced service environments
- Deep knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, and flavor profiles
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
- Food Handler's and ServSafe certifications required
