Responsibilities
- Execute daily dog walking routes in the Omaha metro area, ensuring all pets are exercised and socialized.
- Maintain strict cleanliness by properly disposing of waste in designated areas during every walk.
- Monitor pet behavior and health during walks, reporting any abnormalities to owners immediately.
- Adhere to all leash laws and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of the dogs.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners and updating them on their pet's day.
- Collect payments and submit accurate timesheets and route logs daily.
- Occasionally assist with light pet sitting, feeding, or medication administration as requested.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Previous experience with dogs (breed knowledge is a plus).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable internet access for GPS tracking and communication apps.
- CPR/First Aid certification for pets is highly preferred.
