About the Role:
As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers. You are responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash, credit, and digital payments while issuing receipts and change.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions about products, and resolve any concerns with a smile.
- Merchandising: Keep the checkout counter area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Inventory Awareness: Assist in monitoring stock levels and reporting any discrepancies or missing items.
- Ring Alarms: Monitor the point-of-sale (POS) system for security alerts and assist in preventing theft.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required.
- Math Skills: Strong ability to perform basic arithmetic and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a polite, professional demeanor.
- Reliability: Punctual with a strong work ethic and the ability to stand for long periods.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
