Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise 2-4 dogs simultaneously in upscale residential areas
- Administer medications and provide specialized care for pets with unique needs
- Use GPS tracking and real-time photo/video updates to inform pet owners
- Maintain detailed health and behavior logs for each client
- Coordinate with pet parents for scheduling and special requests
- Transport pets to vet appointments or grooming sessions when required
- Participate in ongoing training for advanced pet handling techniques
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years professional dog walking experience
- Certification in pet first aid/CPR (CPDT-KA preferred)
- Proven ability to handle large, strong, or reactive breeds
- Valid driver's license and insured personal vehicle
- Exceptional time management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in all weather conditions
- Background check and clean driving record required
- Knowledge of Kansas City's pet-friendly regulations and routes
