Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for disruptive technologies (quantum AI, neuromorphic chips, Web4.0) and publish quarterly trend briefs
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with ESG mandates and market readiness
- Chair cross-functional innovation labs with R&D, product, and ethics teams
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation grants through DARPA, NSF, and private partnerships
- Develop patent portfolios for breakthrough solutions in decentralized AI governance
- Present strategic vision at global forums (CES, Web Summit, Davos Tech Forum)
- Mentor next-gen futurists through Horizon's Academy program
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futurist Studies with 8+ years applied tech strategy experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (3+ products launched)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, post-quantum cryptography, or AGI safety frameworks
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent professional designation required
- Published research in IEEE/ACM journals or Nature Futures section
- Experience securing federal innovation grants ($2M+)
- Fluency in strategic foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
