Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 5-year technology roadmap targeting 2026 market disruptions
- Lead research initiatives in emerging fields: quantum AI, biotech convergence, and sustainable tech
- Partner with product teams to integrate breakthrough innovations into commercial offerings
- Analyze global tech trends and competitive landscapes to identify strategic opportunities
- Secure $10M+ in R&D funding through investor pitches and grant applications
- Mentor a team of 15+ engineers and researchers in experimental development
- Establish KPIs for innovation success and track ROI on emerging technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years in tech strategy
- Proven track record of launching at least two enterprise-level AI/quantum products
- Expertise in emerging tech standards: NIST AI Framework, ISO 27001, and IEEE ethics guidelines
- Experience securing federal/state grants for technology innovation ($5M+ portfolio)
- Strong background in patent development with 10+ filed patents
- Executive-level communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts
- Certification in Technology Strategy from MIT Sloan or equivalent
