Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech integration) through 2026+
- Architect multi-year technology roadmaps that balance innovation with market viability and regulatory compliance
- Partner with product teams to incubate and scale breakthrough initiatives with $5M+ annual budgets
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders to co-develop next-gen solutions
- Present future scenarios to executive leadership and Board of Directors with data-driven recommendations
- Mentor cross-functional teams in future-thinking methodologies and technological foresight
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven track record of launching at least two enterprise-level future-tech initiatives with measurable impact
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (AI/ML, blockchain, quantum, AR/VR) and their commercial applications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (PhD or MBA preferred)
- Certification in Futures Thinking, Technology Foresight, or Innovation Management strongly preferred
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience influencing C-suite and Board-level decisions
- Published thought leadership in technology journals or industry white papers
