Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum computing, neural interfaces, AI ethics)
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and futurists in prototyping 2026-viable solutions
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through market analysis and academic partnerships
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members with data-driven impact projections
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Establish industry thought leadership through whitepapers, patents, and conference keynotes
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products with $10M+ market impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi method, scenario planning)
- Strong network with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) and R&D labs
- Certification in Technology Strategy or Innovation Management (e.g., CDIO)
- Published research in IEEE or Nature journals on emerging technologies
