Responsibilities
- Safely walk 4-6 dogs simultaneously in designated New Orleans neighborhoods
- Maintain detailed logs of walks, behavior observations, and client communications
- Administer basic care (hydration, waste cleanup) during walks
- Transport dogs in company vehicles between locations when needed
- Attend monthly training sessions on animal behavior and safety protocols
- Build strong relationships with pet owners through consistent updates
- Adapt routes based on weather conditions and client preferences
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ hours daily in varied terrain
- Certification in pet first aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional communication and time-management skills
- Knowledge of New Orleans' geography and pet-friendly regulations
- Reliable smartphone with data plan for real-time updates
- Positive attitude and passion for animal welfare
