Responsibilities
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Provide outstanding customer service through product knowledge and efficient checkout
- Manage returns/exchanges according to company policies with diplomacy
- Maintain organized, clean checkout areas and store merchandising standards
- Support inventory management through price checks and stock replenishment
- Assist with opening/closing procedures including cash reconciliation
- Train new team members on operational protocols and customer engagement
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cashier or customer service experience in fast-paced environments
- Proven ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy
- Proficient in POS systems (Square, Shopify, or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse clientele
- Strong problem-solving abilities for customer inquiries and escalations
- Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic math and inventory management skills
