Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, processing cash, credit, and check payments efficiently.
- Handle cash drawers with precision, ensuring all transactions balance at the end of the shift.
- Process returns, exchanges, and customer complaints in accordance with company policies.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product locations and store policies.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and welcoming store atmosphere.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous experience in retail, food service, or cashier positions is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
