Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare espresso drinks, pour-overs, and seasonal specialties using premium single-origin beans
- Deliver warm, personalized service to 100+ daily customers while maintaining efficiency
- Manage POS transactions, cash handling, and daily inventory with precision
- Maintain pristine station cleanliness and uphold food safety standards
- Collaborate with team to create innovative weekly specials and promotions
- Train new hires on brewing techniques and customer engagement protocols
- Participate in community events and local coffee competitions
Qualifications
- 1+ years professional barista experience with espresso machine proficiency
- Advanced latte art skills (rosettas, tulips, swans)
- Exceptional multitasking ability during peak hours (8am-10am)
- Knowledge of coffee origins, roast profiles, and brewing methods
- Valid Oregon Food Handler's Card and TABC certification
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8-hour shifts
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early morning shifts
- Portfolio of coffee creations (video or photos) required
