Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service through product knowledge and personalized recommendations
- Process transactions accurately while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Execute visual merchandising standards and inventory management procedures
- Operate POS systems efficiently and troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized sales floor
- Participate in seasonal product training to stay current on industry trends
- Support loss prevention protocols and safety compliance standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year retail or customer service experience preferred
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holiday shifts
- Strong communication skills with ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Basic math proficiency and comfort handling cash/POS systems
- Passion for outdoor recreation and Alaska's adventure lifestyle
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly
- Valid Alaska driver's license (for inventory transport duties)
