Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs measurements and preliminary patient assessments
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and examination rooms
- Manage patient scheduling and electronic health records (EHR)
- Collect and process lab specimens accurately
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to cover varied shifts (morning/afternoon/weekend)
- Basic phlebotomy and ECG certification
