Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks and pallets using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts (certification provided upon hire).
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders to meet daily shipping targets and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for damage or defects and report any issues immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the work area organized, clean, and safe by adhering to all OSHA safety standards and company protocols.
- Shipping Preparation: Prepare shipments for delivery, including labeling, sealing, and documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless workflow during high-volume periods.
Qualifications
- Availability: Must be available to work evening shifts, specifically from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and paperwork.
- Reliability: A history of punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Communication: Basic reading and writing skills to follow safety instructions and operating procedures.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
