Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Coordinate care transitions between providers and facilities
- Assist patients with insurance verification and billing inquiries
- Perform basic clinical tasks including vital sign monitoring
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with on-call physicians during evening hours
- Support patient education initiatives for chronic condition management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare certification preferred
- 1+ years experience in medical office or clinical setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Valid CPR certification
- Availability to work evenings (3 PM - 11 PM) including weekends
