Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake, scheduling, and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Assist with patient registration, insurance verification, and billing procedures
- Coordinate evening patient flow between clinical departments
- Provide compassionate patient education and support services
- Collaborate with medical staff on evening patient care protocols
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
- Process evening lab results and coordinate follow-up communications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year healthcare administration or patient care experience
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong communication skills with multilingual abilities a plus
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
- CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire
