Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions swiftly and accurately at the point of sale using the POS system.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and check payments with strict accuracy and adhere to cash-handling protocols.
- Assist in maintaining store inventory levels and visual merchandising standards.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth and organized checkout process during peak hours.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in retail or cashier positions is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions without error.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and availability for varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
