Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately to process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding products and services.
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict adherence to company policies and cash-handling procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking shelves as needed.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate complex matters to management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate objects (up to 25 lbs).
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
