Responsibilities
- Ring up customer purchases accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding products or services.
- Manage the checkout area by keeping the register tidy, organized, and stocked with supplies.
- Process returns and exchanges efficiently according to company policy.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal store flow and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all company safety and security protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with precision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
