Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming shopping experience at the register.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately process cash, credit, debit, and gift card transactions using POS systems.
- Problem Resolution: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe sales floor environment.
- Cash Management: Reconcile daily cash drawers and prepare deposits for the finance department.
- Product Assistance: Offer guidance on products and promotions to enhance the customer experience.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure store operations run smoothly.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Math Skills: Strong ability to perform basic arithmetic and handle cash with high accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and operate standard retail equipment.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential.
