Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using modern POS systems.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and offer assistance with finding products.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments while maintaining strict cash drawer integrity.
- Bag purchases neatly and organize shopping carts efficiently.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or cash handling is preferred but not required.
- Strong numerical skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual with a valid driver’s license (optional).
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
