Responsibilities
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs and inquiries.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with strict attention to detail and cash reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area at all times.
- Bag merchandise carefully and assist with loading items into customer vehicles when necessary.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure store operations run smoothly during peak hours.
- Adhere to all company policies, including loss prevention and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in retail or cashier roles is a plus but not required for immediate hire.
- Strong basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
