Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions, including cash, credit, and gift cards.
- Greet customers warmly and provide superior customer service by answering questions and resolving issues.
- Handle cash and credit payments with high accuracy, balancing the register at the end of each shift.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
- Process returns, exchanges, and voids in strict accordance with company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking merchandise as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in retail is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
