Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and maintain a professional, service-oriented attitude throughout their visit.
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with strict adherence to security and cash-handling protocols.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and store policies in a helpful and knowledgeable manner.
- Keep the checkout counter and surrounding area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Assist in bagging items and ensuring customer orders are packaged securely for transport.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth flow of customers and minimize wait times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail, food service, or cash handling is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and high attention to detail to ensure correct change and receipts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
