Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and assist with any questions or concerns to ensure a high-quality shopping experience.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with strict accountability and balance the till at the end of every shift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area to comply with health and safety standards.
- Bag customer purchases neatly and assist with loading items into vehicles when necessary.
- Replenish merchandise on the sales floor and assist with inventory management as directed.
- Resolve minor customer issues or complaints professionally and escalate complex matters to a supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or cashier roles is a plus but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills and the ability to count money accurately with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with a diverse customer base.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
