Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and check payments while ensuring all transactions are balanced and secure.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area and store floor.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Restock shelves and assist with inventory management as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous cash handling or retail experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to stand and move around the store for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
