Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process customer transactions.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and accountability.
- Bag groceries and assist with carry-out services to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized checkout area in compliance with health standards.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally and in a timely manner.
- Assist in inventory management and stocking shelves when not at the register.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
