Responsibilities
- Scan items, operate cash registers, and process various payment methods (cash, credit, debit) efficiently and accurately.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional service throughout the checkout process.
- Handle cash, checks, and digital payments with strict adherence to security and accounting protocols.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding prices, products, and store policies with a positive attitude.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area and register tray.
- Bag groceries and assist with cart returns and store organization during downtime.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth flow of customers during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in retail, food service, or cashier positions is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available for immediate start and flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in using POS systems (training provided).
