Responsibilities
- Process customer payments (cash, credit, mobile) accurately and efficiently
- Scan and bag merchandise while providing friendly customer interaction
- Resolve customer inquiries and escalate issues to management as needed
- Maintain clean checkout area and restock supplies
- Balance cash drawer at start/end of shift and report discrepancies
- Adhere to company security policies for cash handling
- Assist with stocking shelves and basic store maintenance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous retail/cashier experience preferred but not required
