Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a smile and ensure a welcoming shopping experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.
- Assist with bagging items and maintaining a neat, organized checkout area.
- Monitor the register drawer and report any discrepancies immediately to management.
- Support inventory management by keeping the sales floor stocked and organized.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash with precision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
