Responsibilities
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer integrity
- Deliver outstanding customer service through product knowledge and friendly interactions
- Bag merchandise efficiently and assist with carryout services
- Resolve customer inquiries and escalate issues to management when needed
- Maintain organized checkout areas and assist with store stocking as required
- Participate in inventory counts and loss prevention protocols
- Train new cashiers on store procedures and safety standards
- Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months cashier or customer service experience
- Proficient with POS systems and basic math skills
- Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Basic proficiency in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
