Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges.
- Greet every customer with a warm, welcoming smile and provide exceptional customer service.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to accuracy and accountability.
- Assist customers with locating products and answering general inquiries about our store policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy checkout area to ensure a pleasant shopping environment.
- Bag merchandise neatly and assist with loading orders into customer vehicles when necessary.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and loss prevention procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in retail is preferred but not required (we train!).
- Strong basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
