Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, specialty coffees, and artisanal beverages according to recipe standards
- Deliver exceptional customer service with genuine enthusiasm and product knowledge
- Operate POS systems efficiently, process payments, and maintain accurate cash handling
- Uphold strict cleanliness and sanitation standards for all equipment and service areas
- Assist with inventory management, restocking, and rotating perishable items
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless café operations during peak hours
- Participate in ongoing training to refine coffee techniques and menu knowledge
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of barista or customer service experience in a fast-paced food/beverage environment
- Basic knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso machines, and milk steaming techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to create welcoming experiences for diverse customers
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training preferred
- Must pass food safety certification within 30 days of hire
- Valid California Food Handler Card required
