Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages following recipes and quality standards
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment safely
- Provide outstanding customer service with genuine warmth and enthusiasm
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace including espresso bar and seating areas
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Learn and recommend new coffee products and seasonal offerings
Qualifications
- No prior barista or coffee experience required – we train everyone!
- High school diploma or equivalent (currently enrolled students welcome)
- Strong communication skills and friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle fast-paced environments
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Reliable transportation to downtown Detroit location
- Availability to work weekends and early morning shifts
