As a Barista at Daily Grind, you are more than just a coffee maker; you are a host, a storyteller, and a master of your craft. We pride ourselves on using locally sourced beans and providing a welcoming environment for our guests to relax and recharge.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and pastries according to strict recipes and standards.
- Greet every guest with a warm, welcoming smile and ensure a positive customer experience from the moment they walk in.
- Operate espresso machines and brewing equipment efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
- Assist in the daily opening and closing procedures, including inventory checks, cash handling, and store maintenance.
- Clean workstations, tables, and restrooms to uphold our high hygiene and aesthetic standards.
- Upsell products and suggest new beverages to enhance the customer's experience.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service of food items.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food and beverage industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of coffee brewing methods, espresso machines, and milk texturing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
