Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes in designated areas around Philadelphia, ensuring safety and adherence to leash laws.
- Monitor dog behavior and health during walks, reporting any issues or concerns to the pet owner immediately.
- Ensure all waste is cleaned up promptly to maintain a clean environment for the community.
- Administer medication or follow specific feeding instructions as directed by the pet owner.
- Update the client portal with real-time photos and GPS location during walks to provide peace of mind.
- Perform light post-walk grooming, such as brushing, to keep pets presentable.
- Maintain professional communication with clients regarding their pet's routine and any changes in behavior.
Qualifications
- A genuine love for animals and a patient, friendly demeanor.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Previous experience with dog walking or pet care is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Physical stamina to handle dogs of all sizes and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to arrive on time for all scheduled appointments.
- Ability to pass a background check and provide reliable references.
- Proficiency with smartphones for using our scheduling and reporting apps.
