Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential through 2026
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and business objectives
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscaping in nascent tech sectors
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and industry pioneers
- Author thought leadership publications on technology trends and future implications
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years experience in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, biotech, AR/VR, etc.)
- Proven track record of translating technology trends into business strategy
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information
- Exceptional communication skills for executive presentations and stakeholder management
- Published research or patents in future technology domains
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
