This role demands a strategic thinker who can translate emerging trends into actionable innovation while leading cross-disciplinary teams through uncharted technological landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Lead research and development of 2026-focused technologies including AI ethics frameworks, neuromorphic computing, and decentralized autonomous systems
- Architect scalable solutions for quantum-resistant cryptography and post-quantum security protocols
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA partners to develop space-age communication and propulsion systems
- Design metaverse infrastructure for enterprise-scale digital twins and holographic telepresence
- Establish governance frameworks for AGI alignment and human-AI symbiotic systems
- Mentor multidisciplinary teams in exponential technology adoption methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Emerging Technology with 5+ years in R&D leadership
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum machine learning, synthetic biology, nanotechnology, or AGI safety
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on 2020s-2030s technology convergence
- Proven track record of commercializing exponential technologies (e.g., quantum computing products)
- Security clearance (or ability to obtain) for federal innovation projects
- Fluency in Python, Qiskit, and advanced simulation environments
- Experience with ISO 21448 (SOTIF) and IEEE 7000 standards for emerging tech
