Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal trends to map 2026 business landscapes
- Develop scenario-based strategic plans for market disruption and competitive positioning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-proof solutions
- Deliver executive briefings on future risk/opportunity matrices
- Design and implement horizon scanning frameworks for long-term trend detection
- Partner with R&D to align 5-year R&D priorities with future market needs
- Author thought leadership positioning Horizon as a 2026 innovation authority
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Innovation, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial strategy
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal impacts
- Exceptional storytelling skills for executive communication
- Portfolio demonstrating published future-oriented research or strategy work
- Experience with AI-driven trend analysis tools preferred
