Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for organizational resilience
- Present executive briefings translating complex futures into actionable business strategies
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-ready solutions
- Author thought leadership publications positioning Horizon as a future-industry authority
- Partner with R&D to align emerging technologies with long-term market opportunities
- Maintain dynamic trend database with real-time updates on geopolitical, environmental, and tech vectors
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurism roles
- Proven track record developing scenario-planning models for Fortune 500 companies
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published author in futures or strategy publications (Harvard Business Review, etc.)
- Proficiency in foresight tools (Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method, Causal Layered Analysis)
- Global perspective with understanding of diverse cultural futures
