Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI governance, and climate tech sectors
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions for 2026 deployment
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across emerging tech verticals
- Partner with C-suite to integrate foresight into corporate strategy and investment decisions
- Present visionary frameworks at industry conferences and publish thought leadership
- Mentor junior futurists and innovation specialists in emerging methodologies
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts impacting tech adoption timelines
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of launching products/services with 5+ year vision cycles
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum, AGI, bioengineering, or climate tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
- Published work in tech foresight or innovation strategy (patents, whitepapers, books)
- Experience securing $1M+ budgets for experimental R&D initiatives
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight preferred
