Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously (1-4 per group) in designated Durham neighborhoods
- Provide feeding, water refills, and waste cleanup during visits
- Administer medications as prescribed by pet owners
- Monitor pet health and behavior; report concerns promptly
- Maintain detailed activity logs and client communication
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Build trust-based relationships with pets and owners
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Current pet first aid/CPR certification
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ miles daily
- Excellent time management and punctuality
- Strong communication skills with pet owners
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
