Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly upon entry and provide exceptional customer service.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining the sales floor, including stocking shelves and organizing displays.
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policy.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management immediately.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle money with high precision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer literacy is a plus.
