Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake, scheduling, and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Coordinate with medical teams to ensure seamless weekend patient care
- Handle patient inquiries via phone and in-person with exceptional communication
- Assist with basic clinical procedures under supervision
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments for operational efficiency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or healthcare certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year healthcare or customer service experience
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic experience a plus)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to de-escalate situations
- Flexibility to work alternating weekends (Sat/Sun 8am-6pm)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
