Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake, scheduling, and insurance verification processes
- Assist medical providers with clinical documentation and EHR management
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain examination room readiness
- Handle confidential communications with patients and healthcare professionals
- Perform basic clinical tasks including vital signs and specimen collection
- Support weekend clinic operations and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Contribute to patient education materials and discharge planning
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant certification preferred
- 1+ years healthcare or customer service experience required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic experience a plus)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Flexibility to work both Saturday and Sunday shifts (7am-5pm)
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
