Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned premises and monitor surveillance systems during weekend night shifts (Friday-Sunday 11PM-7AM)
- Screen visitors and enforce access control procedures at high-security locations
- Respond to alarms and incidents with de-escalation techniques and proper documentation
- Conduct regular security checks of premises, identifying and reporting vulnerabilities
- Operate communication systems and coordinate with emergency services when required
- Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports using digital platforms
- Provide professional assistance to visitors while maintaining a visible security presence
Qualifications
- Valid NYS Security Guard License (required)
- Minimum 1 year security experience in commercial or event environments
- Strong observational skills and ability to remain alert during overnight hours
- Proficient in using surveillance technology and reporting software
- Excellent communication skills with ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions
- Flexibility to adapt to rotating weekend schedules with advance notice
- Clean background check and drug-free certification
