Responsibilities
- Process customer payments efficiently using POS systems (cash, credit, mobile)
- Provide exceptional service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues
- Handle returns/exchanges per company policies with professionalism
- Bag purchases accurately and assist with carryout as needed
- Maintain clean, organized checkout areas and stock shelves during downtime
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations
- Participate in inventory counts and stock replenishment
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Strong math skills and attention to detail for accurate transactions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Proficient with basic technology (POS systems, payment apps)
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
